A Prayer for All People

I heard Drunvalo Melchizedek say in 2008 that the population of Earth would reduce greatly over the next 2-3 years, perhaps to 100 million. He also said a woman would succeed Barack Obama as President of the United States. Despite wondering who would elect her, I felt this not as a contradiction but as a koan, a challenge posed by Spirit with Drunvalo as mouthpiece, serving to make us think and beyond that, conscious.

When we speak from our Hearts, we are mouthpieces of Spirit. Every Heart intends Unity, a remembering of Oneness from which all arise. We each express this according to our purpose, vision and soul history. When we speak from Heart, the logical principle of contradiction does not apply. Speaking the truth of Heart, we become channels through which Spirit issues challenges to greater Unity. Our highest freedom is to express these with clarity

As this is true for apparent contradictions uttered by Drunvalo, so it is true for all who express the truth of their Heart(s) towards the unfolding of Consciousness in time. When I speak from my clarified Heart and you from yours, my truth cannot contradict your truth, nor yours mine. We can enrich each other’s truth, however, and thus gain access to greater Consciousness. We are like distinct lines of articulation in a process of cooperative unfolding, each equipped to recognise and express different potentials.

The truth we express when we speak from Heart is part of a more encompassing Truth that transcends the principle of contradiction and becomes more available as we relinquish ego-agendas. This is an important consideration at a time when many people are saying different things about Earth’s possible futures. Drunvalo, for example, invoking science and tribal prophecy, believed that a pole shift would carry most of Earth’s human population away within three years.

Others – Celia Fenn of Starchild Global, for example – say that enough of us are now awake enough to ‘hold’ coming changes so that there is no need to be concerned by them. I don’t imagine that one is simply right and the other therefore wrong. Beyond contradiction, both express potentials that Spirit wants us to be aware of. Rather than choosing our favourite and disregarding its opposite, we are invited to refine our awareness in relation to whatever tension apparent contradiction between the perspectives might induce.

It is not enough to take refuge in the status of our preferred authority. Both speak from One Heart. Both intend Unity. To discard either is to slip below a Consciousness that encompasses both. It also values outer authority over the challenge to empowerment posed by Spirit’s koans of apparent contradiction. We must each follow the impulse of our own Hearts to find a creative power that can lift us beyond impasse. Stillness comes of recognising that different people, in speaking their truth, are expressing a potential for different possible futures to manifest at this time.

We retain a potential to achieve higher awareness by reconciling the apparent contradictions they propose. For me, the image arises of a plane heading for a cliff. Drunvalo says it’s going to hit but everything will be ok. We’ve been this way before. Celia says there are enough aware people on board to ensure that a collision won’t occur. This may seem comforting and is certainly a possibility Spirit wants us to be aware of. It’s not the Truth, however, because Spirit also wants to register what Drunvalo feels in his Heart.

This is vital because Earth changes are subordinate to requirements of Ascension, which is a matter of consciousness rather than physical upheaval. The 9th Wave exalts us to participate in conscious co-creation. Earth’s impending transformation gives us an opportunity to realise the substance of this promise. In my case, integration came via an image that arose in meditation. The plane approaching the cliff becomes a merkaba, not mine but Earth’s.

Seeing what is about to happen, I intend the vehicle to stop, which it does, and to rise over the cliff, which it also does. This doesn’t mean that Consciousness favours me as a saviour hero; just that I as a representative rather than distinctive figure must assume my response-ability for what happens. We all must do so rather than throwing power at lord gods of the moment.

Shifting our plane(t) away from imminent collision warrants a different kind of ceremony than tribal elders have been performing to sustain Earth in Constancy for millennia. It also demands absolute respect for all that our elders have accomplished and must build on all they have conserved. A fusion of both streams is now needed: the measured, sustaining passion of our elders and the limitless, transforming passion of us moderns.

I first noticed this when I was writing my version of Don Alejandro’s Mayan ‘creation story’. Two huge differences arose around elements which I just had to put in and he never would. They concern reflexivity and longing. Taking each in turn: Don A’s telling contains no ‘I’ perspectives (2). He simply relays what happened as his ancestors always have. No first person narrator goes to a mountain. There is no self-consciousness involved.

His story is the story of his people and his consciousness is also theirs. My retelling has been shaped by a cultural experience of rational individuation that makes my consciousness seem other than this. To access the consciousness of Don A’s story – to make it my own, so to speak – I must start from where I am. This gives my account an element of self-consciousness that is simply not present in his. There is no hint of disrespect implied. Far from it, my retelling is an act of unqualified homage and yearning to belong.

At the end of ‘my’ story, the narrator specifies a remembering of ‘that first morning’. There is no such detail in Don A’s account. His memory is the memory of his ancestors. By contrast, formation of my consciousness in this lifetime has been shaped by forces of culture and history that served to insulate me from depths of remembering that come easily to him. I had to undergo a passionate breakthrough to experience Don A’s depth of human (not just Mayan) memory as my own.

This is why I had to write that line and why I truly did weep at depths of memory it evoked. The intensity of my weeping shattered walls of forgetting that had held me apart in fascinated admiration. It returned something in me to the flow of what was once our common passion. In general, our elders – having strayed less from the Constant, despite incursions of modernity – are far less alienated and disoriented than we have been.

That said, if we channel our reactive desperation into acts of passionate yearning, we can break past our lack of enabling tradition back to essence. Essence renews tradition as human rather than tribal. This is what Unity now warrants. There is vast scope for co-operation here. More than correct ritual observance, successful fusion involves realising in consciousness an authentic promise held within the yang mode of Divine Creativity.

This was both masked and disclosed by modernity’s ‘lust for innovation’. Our lust over-reached because it was ignorant of the Constant. Nevertheless, outer shows of technological capacity reflect an inner attitude that underpins them. However much we tend to identify our projections as something other than ourselves, the internet – for example – images outwardly our will to engage in universal communion at this time.

It is no accident that Barack Obama still advertises ‘I Can’ consciousness to an ailing world. Although its expressions have been distorted by alienated priorities, ‘I Can’ consciousness is an integral expression of enlightened willing that needs to exist in balanced relationship with a feminine yin mode that remembers the Constant.  We need to bring it into right relationship with the ‘I AM’ consciousness of What Is.

This has not yet been accomplished. Even pharaohs must unfold in stages. Obama has been moved to integrate the US experience of slavery. One result has been to establish a glass foundation from which his oratory builds. Thus he invokes colonists who rose against an empire but as yet omits their colonised. Only when the stories and sensibilities of humanity’s First People are remembered, will a viable synthesis of ‘I AM’ and ‘I Can’ become possible.

[This is true of all countries, including old Europe where embodied elders no longer hold songs that deliver us into experiences of the Sacred World of Living Earth. We must find new means as a resurgence of our weary spirits moves us to walk out on our Holy Land and cry for vision. In time, persuaded of sincerity, She opens to us. Our Mother is wounded but not dead. Still, it takes great Passion on our parts to breach the gap, as a civilization and as contributory cultures. We must break the inertia of our history, shame and forgetting.]

‘I Can’ is not other than ‘I AM’. Both manifest Divine Consciousness: a part that moves (yang/Becoming), a part that is still (yin/Being) and a Unity that encompasses both. Becoming is integral to Being as evolution happens in the Consciousness of God. Existence is the Dream of God, a direct expression of Her/His nature as Love. Love, including human Love, is not for the Divine but of it. It is not static but ek-static. It moves, reaches out, draws close. Reaching out, it exceeds what it was before. It alters, innovates, projects. This is its yang face. Drawing close, it nurtures, holds and sustains. This is its yin.

Finding in itself a perfect balance that cannot be spoken but is somehow felt, it knows the dynamic, resonant stillness of Great Mystery that forever Is and yet becomes. Losing balance, it stagnates or runs amok. We need to bring our ‘I AM’ consciousness of Constancy together with the ‘I Can’ of creative possibility, acknowledging its divine origins also. This empowers us to make miracles, to take charge of our hurtling jet, the living plane(t) that was given into our care so we could learn to balance light and love in right relationship.

Our journey to this point has not been easy. Human history has been, for most people most of the time, a nightmare of violence and apprehension. No other species has conjured miseries as we do. We know that there are reasons for this. We have stories of our Fall, of ET influences working through genetic and cultural streams as well as in/direct manipulation. We have been easy targets due to vulnerabilities induced by core patterns of abandonment and impressions of guilt that have been laid upon this. We have been shamed by repeated evidence of our brutality and greed. This case against us cannot be dismissed.

Despite it, we are the most innocent of species, perhaps the most innocent imaginable. Our beginning is of all beginnings. It was not motivated by special intent on the part of ‘God’. (As orphaned children, we seek desperately to image One who was not there). At the root of our memory, it seems, we are born to separation and abuse. Not only were we conceived as slaves, our story says, but when we raised ourselves up we were thrown down, unprotected against outer aggression. We have had to raise ourselves without a blueprint, with nothing but injured instinct and a battered sense of purpose to sustain us (3).

For wounded creatures, self-conscious, to be trapped in worlds of instinct for so long has meant pain beyond imagining but we have borne it to our present threshold of remembering (4).  I first wrote the next paragraph as follows, in the past tense:

As soon as it happened, our ‘Fall’ became necessary. Evolutionary potentials reconfigured and we became prime carriers of the burden. We were played even more by ETs who imposed upon us. We showed resilience and creativity in adjusting to harsh environments but we also regressed under trauma. We forgot everything and in our forgetting felt lost as well as devastated. All our root issues re-emerged. We became as damaged children adrift in animal bodies, moved by wounded instincts and dim aspirations to levels of communion we could no longer envisage. Grounds for debased religiosity had been established and there was no shortage of ‘gods’ waiting to step in.

Re-reading, I saw that this exemplifies a core truth about mythology as a metaphorical system of representation that seeks to relate the orders of timelessness and time (and, also, ir/rational modes of human knowing). Take the first sentence, for instance, and recast it in the present tense: As soon as it happens, our ‘Fall’ becomes necessary’. Its content is now asserted as perpetually true. This implies that ‘our Fall’ didn’t just happen then but is still happening. We can reinforce this by converting the whole passage:

Evolutionary potentials reconfigure and we become prime carriers of the burden. We are played even more by ETs (archons/reptilian Others) who impose upon us. We show resilience and creativity in adjusting to harsh environments but we also regress under trauma. We forget everything and in our forgetting feel lost as well as devastated. All our root issues re-emerge. We become as damaged children adrift in animal bodies, moved by wounded instincts and dim aspirations to levels of communion we can no longer envisage. Grounds for debased religiosity have been established and there is no shortage of ‘gods’ waiting to step in.

[These sentences are as true Now as they seemed to be Then. They help us realise that the essence of our Fall is also the essence of our Sacred Wound and, thus, the key to our genius. Separation-inducing self-consciousness (narcissistic entrapment) has been and remains the essence of our Fall. It is also the key to our specific genius: namely, the realisation of Divine Consciousness as such in time. I will return to this at another time.]

Despite this, the persistence of our spiritual impulse – a will to affirm Life and celebrate it – is remarkable. It evidences creative stirring in our essence and a continuing capacity for awe before the wonder of existence. It is important to acknowledge this behind every impulse to genuflect and self-wound. These are the distorted reflexes of a damaged species. They do not express our essence.

Finding ourselves as a repository for all the trauma and derangements induced by male warrior consciousness acting in separation, we assumed an option to transmute it on behalf of Life everywhere. ‘We’ includes all of us, travellers from everywhere who felt compassion for this most innocent of species, whose unpredicted destiny became a means to redemption for all the troubled forces working through it. We became human, brothers and sisters, born of all beginnings and we are here.

Becoming human doesn’t just involve dropping in to perform incidental favours. Our choice was motivated by compassion. Creatures from everywhere, we became human by entering the passion of humanity, whose vulnerability has drawn the attention of troubled beings from all over. Many came seeking to pursue what they took to be advantage. They are part of our common passion also, parts of God seeking at this moment to remember (5).

Our situation is poignantly illustrated by the Waitaha people, pre-Maroi inhabitants of New Zealand (Aotearoa). Originally from Lemuria, they survived its immersion peacefully before setting out from Easter Island to settle in Aotearoa, still carrying a tender feminine sensibility. They held their genetic and cultural heritage intact for thousands of years before being invaded by the Maori, then a fierce warrior race affected by the deranging Martian response to mass traumatisation of our species after Atlantis.

Within their mindset, the tribe was an exclusive unity, an in-group to whose interests those of others were subordinated. Possessed by a frenzy of disorientation, the Maori ate the Waitaha men and raped their women (6). It is difficult to imagine a more extreme process of mutual assimilation. The base pattern of Martian rape/expropriation was acted out, as it has been so many times on our planet (7). The surviving Waitaha females were required to absorb this enormity, as Earth has been.

Instead of succumbing to bitterness and despair, they kept the memory of their Dream alive and transmitted it across generations. They integrated the craziness that had engulfed their world and, in time, enlightened it. Recently, they have emerged to proclaim their identity as an integral people, having transmuted the chaotic powers by which their conquerors were once possessed. They have become One again, asserting only the power of Love. An articulated Lemurian sensibility has been restored, in their men as well as in their women.

The Waitaha are known as water-carriers. They have borne our species’ grief in concentrated form. They have always known – given their feeling for divine order – that admitting grief is a means of restoring life and allowing original blessing to flow again. What they have accomplished is something that all humanity has been engaged in on a larger scale: as Maori invaded Aotearoa, so ‘Martians’ invaded Earth.

We have been engaged in transmuting effects of this ever since, or trying to. Other star tribes became involved, both to take advantage and assist. The outcome is that we are grief-bearers for all. Healing that is accomplished here will ripple out through Cosmos, creating a benign Aquarian alternative to catastrophic scenarios which past trauma has conditioned us to expect. Becoming the Grail we are born again of water, Her medium (8).

Life doesn’t manifest death camps except under extreme conditions. Humanity has lived the likes of Rwanda, Sarajevo, Cambodia and Auschwitz repeatedly for five thousand years after a hundred millennia in which there were few traces of war. Something extraordinary has been going on: Earth became a frontier venue for dissociated warrior tendencies to enact their drama of not/coming into right relationship with the Sacred Feminine. As a result, the reality most humans still experience derives from a reactive mire of unacknowledged trauma over which a veneer of rationality has been imposed.

This has given rise to third chakra agendas of mastery, separation and control that have yet to admit their derailment by un-comprehended wounds of a deep past. Lacking such admission and the forgiveness it allows, we continue to recreate old patterns. Rationality cannot prevent this. It just gets drawn in, altering the terms of obfuscation. Auschwitz was not the creation of pre-rational people but of damaged rationality acting from un-clarified foundations. All our woes stem from the same deep knot of soul-wounding which, remaining unacknowledged, also remains unhealed.

The same pattern underpins our commitment to financial crisis. Despite understanding the need for circulation, actors whose actions constitute ‘the market’ wait day after day to see how ‘the market’ will respond. We are frightened, untrusting and unwilling to assume response-ability beyond pursuing short-term advantage. We have been cultured to see this as ‘rational’. I don’t just mean frightened of losing cash. That is a symptom. We are frightened of loss itself and accumulate to guard against it. Threatened, we retrench and cling fast.

This disposition is rooted in unconscious memories of primal catastrophe. The mortified, de-based condition of our first chakras expresses it (as does the range of horrifying atrocities we commit when normal prohibitions are lifted). We invest rather than flow, in a mode of calculation rather than trust. Our deformed second chakras don’t dream abundance. For us wealth must be earned, cultivated and overseen. We exchange, seduce and transact but cannot give with confidence of receiving by return. We have let ourselves down too many times.

Unity appears to have little chance against such a backdrop but even secretly breaking Hearts yearn for it. Now our Hearts are called to open and become whole. Imminent completion of the Mayan calendar is a primary catalyst of this. It restores a missing blueprint that connects our forgotten destinies to fulfilment of Earth’s cosmic destiny. Beyond cliché, it posits destiny on a cosmic scale, the level at which Unity in existence must be comprehended. A potential now exists for anyone who has a Heart to ascend into Unity/Christ consciousness. This entails a healing of separation and of all that contributed to our experiences of it.

There are two points I would stress: the first is that this potential must be realised in time. We who are in time must act to secure it. In conjunction with macro-developments noted by Calleman’s account, there is a complementary strand of activity germane to Earth, including the efforts of all who have been working to remember our innocence and destiny. This grows our species’ morphogenetic field from within and is enhanced, not superseded by the advent of new Underworlds and Heavens.

The second point is that this option exists for everyone. All humans are awakening Christs (or equivalent) seeking to make good our Second Coming. We must act response-ably for this to happen.  We become human not to witness but to participate, to assist with raising Earth’s vibration from within and help innocence recover after trauma. Now when our time for doing so is at hand, we need only act according to the Truth of our Hearts to help everyone become aware of potentials that are pressing for realisation. This is done by continuing to attend to all that still arises in ourselves.

Our Mother’s highest dream is that her children should remember in time to make miracles on her behalf, mindful of the Constant. Catastrophe doesn’t have to happen. Elder prophecy and scientific prediction project forward patterns that have obtained to date. No practical solutions impend. This means that we need miracles, which are matters of consciousness, as Ascension is. There is no great mystery to it and no call whatever for mystification. Enough of us are close enough to Heart Consciousness to build foundations for a new culture/civilisation based on Unity principles.

All this needs is for so-called ordinary people – every one of whom is ‘Family of Light’, there being no other way to enter existence – to resume conscious relationship with a living world. We have only to clear our emotional histories and limiting beliefs to remember Consciousness (I AM), including Creator Consciousness (I Can). This may seem improbable but the energies of Now support it. We need forms of teaching that induce a sense of self-empowerment and triggers that stimulate a sense of waking up and switching on. The 9th Wave of the Mayan calendar provides the latter. We must work towards provision of the first.

Who is ‘we’? Second Coming spirituality invites all people to assume our Christ/equivalent nature: the first shall be last and the last first. This is the most beautiful of mystic revelations. It doesn’t just apply to those who follow the calendar, see energies or channel Jesus but to anyone who has a Heart: i.e. everyone. It is not impossible given the collective shift into Heart Consciousness that now looms and the cumulative energy of 9 Waves that serve this process. All our crises, koans, prophecies and wars serve to WAKE US UP lest we sleep through this unprecedented opportunity of rebirth back to innocence and wholeness.

The purpose of a Second Coming is to realise the significance of a First. This theme figures in the Grail legend also. It entails passing from unconscious myth-making (collective dreaming) to conscious remembering of what it means for a Christos (anointed one) to ascend the World Tree (Cross) on behalf of her/his community: ‘Weep not for me but for your children …’ This Passion of going to the Cross – returning to cosmic order via the Tree of Life – happens after a ‘Fall’ towards individuation has occurred. Jesus experiences the tortured subjectivity of ‘I and the Father are One’ and ‘Why hast Thou forsaken me?’ prior to his great surrender (9).

The extremity of his despair makes it representative and informing of ours. That he is rejected by his tribe (granted distortions of imperial politics) makes it universal. A core issue for us concerns right relationship between Light-workers and the rest of humanity. In Greek tragedy, heroes grapple with forces beyond their control. At first they are representative, illustrating the plight and courage of wo/men pitted against fate. Later, distinguished by acclaim, they are seen as distinctive. This leaves them vulnerable to the tragic flaw of hubris (spiritual pride).

Attachment to distinctive identity inhibits the flow of Grace. This writing is of and for all people even if it is read by very few. We are ‘elect’ only by virtue of participating consciously in Earth’s Ascension, having remembered what many are now starting to grasp. We represent ‘others’ by manifesting potentials that are incubating in them also. Like the Waitaha, we have the option to step out as an integral people but can only do so together, by building a new culture that comes of making peace with all that once seemed Other in ourselves.

The issue is never what credits we have earned but what Truth we have realised in our Hearts. If we have experienced Oneness as the Truth of Heart, we manifest a potential that inheres in the Heart(s) of all humanity – not just to be a part of Oneness but to know this. If we know ourselves as expressing our species’ potential, then its collective field shifts closer to Unity. The Christ-ing of all comes closer as a result, before ego-I ‘does’ anything. Aligning ‘I Can’ consciousness with ‘I AM’, my actions become as trans-actions, expressing my soul’s highest destiny through ‘me’: the Tao does nothing and nothing is left undone (10).

Notes (all references are to www.sacredplay.info) :

(1) It is tiresome to keep putting ‘God’ in quotes so I will stop unless it seems necessary to stress that each time I refer to God, I attempt vainly to evoke by naming a Mystery that is beyond naming, concepts and definitions of all kinds. (See ‘God and Company’ under Stories.)

(2) See ‘Dream of the First People’ under Dream.

(3) ‘Original Sin’ is a pre-emptive strike applied by ‘gods’ in retrospect to obscure awareness that we are the blueprint as living embodiments of the Tree of Life. Knowledge is a hurdle that must be integrated on the Way. The calendar is an instrument provided to sustain us through long exile.

 (4) Our myths, as representations of the Collective Unconscious, express things that no individual consciousness could easily bear. Our existentialist and critical philosophers are strictly correct: we are ‘thrown’ into a world that is absurd from the perspective of rationalising intellect. We do project ‘God’ as a Big Daddy Super-being and are shamed to recall that He wasn’t there when we were small and needed holding. Wounded still, we are dismayed to ponder what it means to be the One(s) we have been waiting for.  Calleman’s Underworlds, in my opinion, offer a broadly coherent schema that allows us to remember All We Have Been without a likelihood of projecting further misleading images of unconscious distress on to screens of a collective consciousness that is trying to awaken now as never before.

(5) Whatever forms we occupy we are all varieties of Spirit playing specialised roles to promote a fulfilment of Consciousness by remembering Love in the Light of Existence. This is true of the most indigenous human and the most exalted light being. There is a vast spectrum of step-down transformations between pure Consciousness and our embodied forms. This spectrum unfolds out of light into time. It provides an infrastructure for multi-dimensional awareness, and for the journey of Unity through Reflection back to greater Unity. Consciousness (as projected by its Dream of Existence) occupies all these levels. Details of this arrangement are not presently available to science but can be accessed via our powers of feeling and imagination. These reveal that – as Consciousness exists in many forms at different dimensional levels – so (as manifestations of Oneness) do we. Our brothers and sisters from star nations everywhere, like phantoms we export to parallel worlds, are simply unremembered aspects of ourselves, one Self, awaiting a return to (greater) Unity/Consciousness. Consciousness becomes conscious of itself through the power of reflection. Our commitment to History (knowledge) is fulfilled when this happens. Afterwards we no longer have a need for (addiction to) linear time.

(6) This was experienced as a vision and provides a trigger for collective remembering. I intend no disrespect to the Maori, whom I feel in my Heart as a beautiful people. No human tribe was left untouched by a virus that had to live so Life could flourish. The Latin word for ‘man’ is vir, whence virulent. The runaway yang of alienated warrior consciousness had to run its course, once it had been loosed, in order to have a chance of coming Home. We all carry imprints of this history.

(7) ‘Martian’ is at first best understood in relation to the Roman god of war, not the planet. Acknowledging an archetype is preferable to imagining that we are referring to something which is Other than ourselves. We can then progress to recognising planets also as non-extraneous.

(8)  See ‘On Becoming the Grail’ under Articles/Grail.

(9)  A crucial element in the mythic symbolism of the Jesus story is that rejection by his own tribe carries him on to a universal stage: the ‘unconscious’ is often smarter that (ego) ‘consciousness’ can fathom. Our history of reckoning this relationship turns on politically enforced illusions of narcissistic entrapment which are now up for radical review at the level of our modal collective awareness.

(10) Apparent opposition between freedom and necessity is an outcome of mind’s polarising tendency. It doesn’t apply at the level of Heart/Unity Consciousness, where I will that Divine Will be done through me. As Jung says ‘Freedom is the ability to do gladly that which I must do.’
